Katz’s Delicatessen: Best deli in New York since 1888

Where Harry Met Sally. Ok, so maybe they didn’t meet there, but Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal did in fact eat at Katz’s deli in the movie.

There’s even a sign in the restaurant at 205 East Houston Street in the Lower East Side to prove it. I actually got lucky enough to sit at their table.

Katz’s deli is not only famous for being in the movie, but it is also famous because it has so much history and is so good!

According to their website,  Katz’s Delicatessen opened in 1888, has survived three depressions, numerous recessions and two World Wars.

When you go, you have to order a pastrami, turkey or corned beef sandwich. They’re the best!
