Much like Harriet said in an earlier blog post, brunch is essentially part of weekend culture in New York. Come Saturday or Sunday afternoon, you will find New Yorkers in their favorite brunch locations dining on delicious food and indulging in a few cocktails. This weekend I had guests in town for a visit and I thought brunch would be the perfect way to start our busy day.
We found quite the brunch gem right here in the Financial District! Located walking distance away,121 Fulton Street was the perfect brunch spot close to home. Want to know the best part of this restaurant? For $20 you can choose from a great variety of brunch options AND you get unlimited mimosas and bloody marys for two hours. I chose to go with a spinach, mushroom and goat cheese omelet, but my friends went with a Belgian waffle topped with fresh season berries, eggs florentine and the Fulton brunch sampler. It was delicious. Needless to say, we spent a hefty portion of our morning partaking in the New York brunch scene!
If you have a chance, check out this restaurant right here in the Financial District. It’s also a great after work spot, too!
