Zach and I went to The High Line couple of weeks ago, it was a very beautiful and unique place. The High Line is about 1 mile long, and it likes “sky garden” built the former New York Central Railroad, which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan, it has been redesigned and planted as an greenway. The High Line Park currently runs from Gansevoort Street, three blocks below West 14th Street, in the Meatpacking District, up to 30th Street, through Chelsea to West Side.
I think it is a very smart idea to redesign the railroad. It provides better and different view of the city. Also, it would cost a lot of money to deal with the abandoned railroad if don’t redesign it. The High Line is the stimuli of real estate development around that area. It is a very artsy place.
