Not too long ago, Zach,Yang, Cody, Annie, Jamie, and I decided we were going to go to a Mets game. Ok, that’s not exactly how it happened. With his favorite team the San Diego Padres in town, Zach decided he wanted to go and bribed us with $10 dollar tickets. Who can say no to that face?!
The day started out great because it was the first time I’d been in a train that went above ground. I didn’t even know that happened, so when the subway’s iffy halogen lights were replaced with the natural-variety I was pretty stoked. Street art lined the walls of buildings and there was a great view of the skyline.
When we got to the stadium, we were lost (it was a trend that week). After a few minutes of great navigating, we found the ticket booth. After a quick photo shoot…
…we ate our first Nathan’s Hot Dog. It was a footlong, of course.
After our noms, we semi-watched the game. The Padres were losing (sorry Zach), so in an effort to not get sunburnt, we left.
Overall it was a good day, but it’s hard for me to get into a baseball game that isn’t the Cardinals. Go Birds!
