Ladies Pavilion – Adventure Point

This weekend I made another trip up to Central Park.

This time I didn’t have a destination in mind and ended up wandering around for a few hours until my boyfriend and I stumbled on the perfect lounging spot.

It’s right in between 76th and 74th street on the Lake. Right next to what is labeled Ladies Pavilion is this giant sprawling rock that you can easily climb and lay out on. The rock is right up against the water and gives you an amazing elevated view of the lake. You can look down at all of the people rowing  boats or look toward your right and down the park to see the city skyline.

It’s a beautiful location and the perfect spot for a picnic. We laid down a beach towel and ate the bagels we had brought from Jubilee. It was secluded, and it didn’t feel touristy at all. I would highly suggest checking it out if you are looking for a quiet escape.
